Ron Chesley
is a native Californian who began his interest in art at an early age.
When his high school art teacher recognized Chesley's potential as an
artist, the teacher provided him with a private studio where he could
focus and develop his skills. Chesley furthered his art education by
attending Art Center College of Design where he received his Bachelor of
Fine Arts degree. Through the years, his professional design and
illustration work has won him numerous awards, and during his almost
four decades in this field he has been a faculty member at The Art
Center. For the last fourteen years Chesley has been an art director
with The Walt Disney Company where he also teaches Plein Air painting
workshops at locations around the United States. In addition, he is a
featured artist in The Walt Disney Company Annual Ryman Foundation Art
Exhibition. Presently, Chesley's focus has shifted to his personal
artistic vision, which includes watercolor and paintings inspired by his travels throughout the western United
States.
Ron's art has been exhibited in galleries and shows
throughout the United States. His works were included in the exhibition
