George did not train formally as a painter at
university or attend art college. He is self-taught and trained.
Years of living on the rugged coast of northern Cornwall has
provided him with continuing artistic inspiration and training. He
now lives in Oxfordshire. He holds a B.A. Hons in International
Politics and Italian from the University of Reading (UK), from where
he graduated in 1997. He also studied International Politics,
Italian and Italian History at the University of Padua in Italy.
Professional Associations:
George is a member of London's
Chelsea Arts Club. The club, founded by Whistler in
the late nineteenth century, is a thriving artistic community of
painters, sculptors, musicians and other artists.
